Kojic Acid Niacinamide Brightening Face Gel Cleanser

This gel cleanser has a really nice feel to it. It lathers softly, cleans my skin without drying it out, and leaves my face feeling fresh but not tight. It gives a gentle brightening effect over time and it’s soothing enough for daily use. It keeps things simple but still makes my skin look a little more even and calm after each wash.

I’ve been using this gel cleanser in the mornings because it has Vitamin C and I think it complements my serum. It’s unscented and a bright cheerful yellow color. I’m assuming that comes from the turmeric. It lathers up nicely and is easy to rinse with no staining although I’d be careful of getting the undiluted product on clothes. I haven’t had any redness or irritation from this product. It leaves my skin feeling clean and soft and ready for the next step.

I admit I have a Sungboon Editor fascination! Can You Tell, (pic)*? I love that they combine both traditional botanicals and scientifically-researched ingredients to make fantastic products. This cleanser smells so good and feels good too. In addition to kojic acid, panthenol and niacinamide, they've also included antioxidants, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, retinol and plant extracts, of course. There are gentle cleansers, and brightening ingredients, but it also contains alpha hydroxy acids and tea tree oil. I need a good cleanser, but I'm using this as my deep-cleaning cleanser. Thankfully, it is gentle and pH balanced so I can use it regularly. It removes makeup, dead cells (ick), brightens, smooths and moisturizes. My skin is dry, and although I think this may be more geared to skin prone to breakouts, I want to brighten my skin, it's anti-aging and have to exfoliate because I hate my pores! I also use some strong retinol, and those dead skin cells can remain on your skin a little while (yuck).
